A Tampa story,

What began with a determination to make honest spirits has grown into a mission to revive one of Sulphur Springs’ most meaningful buildings.
The founder
Ryan Danger
Ryan Danger is a Tampa native and King High School graduate whose work has always joined craft, technology, music, and community. He built Danger Systems around professional audio, video, networking, and control systems, and spent decades behind the soundboard at Tampa’s Skipper’s Smokehouse.
He is also a distiller and the coach of Tampa Warriors Hockey, a nonprofit organization that brings disabled veterans together on the ice. That mix of hands-on problem solving, service, and belief in Tampa became the foundation for Danger Distillery.

Danger Distillery was created around a simple promise: make our own spirits, keep the ingredients honest, and build products with a genuine connection to Florida. The Springs gin collection carries that idea forward, while Veronica Rum preserves the pirate character that has been part of the Danger story from the beginning.
The distillery is more than a collection of labels. It is the liquid expression of a larger vision—one where production, hospitality, history, and community can share the same home.
November 2021
The Springs Theatre becomes part of the journey.
In November 2021, the Danger family purchased the historic Springs Theatre in Tampa’s Sulphur Springs neighborhood. The movie house first opened in 1944 and once served as a gathering place at the heart of the community.
After decades of changing uses and decline, Ryan saw more than an old building. He saw the future home of Danger Distillery and a chance to bring people back through its doors.

Springs Theatre, reimagined for events.
The restoration will bring the building back as a working craft distillery, tasting room, and event destination, with room for weddings, celebrations, nonprofit gatherings, and new neighborhood traditions.
A place where the past will be honored and memories will be made. The work continues one careful step at a time—preserving the character of the Springs Theatre while preparing it for a new generation.
